A Long Standing Tradition

“Al Son Del Mariachi” is just one part of a legacy that dates back close to one hundred years ago in the beautiful city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, where Don Modesto Mendoza gave birth to what would become a multigenerational suit making business. It would later go on to become known for its quality and attention to detail and honor to tradition.

Don Modesto, who was a native to Guadalajara, was proud of his legacy and passed down the tradition of suit making to each of his sons and daughters. Among the children was one by the name of Isidro Mendoza Ubiarco, who established his own business in downtown Guadalajara , on Juarez #49 Ave, under the name “Sastreria Mendoza”, and operated for more than 40 years.

His passion and quality for the art of tailoring granted him the position of one of the best tailors of his time. This fame still resonates till today around the city.

Captivated by the art of tailoring Gabriel Mendoza inhered the skills and knowledge of his father and now with almost 50 years of experience initiates in 2004 what now we know as “Al Son Del Mariachi”.

Fame and quality of two past generations opened the path for Gabriel Mendoza to be the third generation who carry out proudly the tradition of tailoring and own the recognition of one of the best tailors in the mariachi and charrería tradition.
